The Muse rocker – whose girlfriend Kate Hudson is expecting their first child – says while he was single, he used to make made numerous trips to his home in Lake Como because the Italian women are “incredible”.

Matt, 32, was approached by The Hurts guitarist Adam Anderson who asked: “I know your sh**ging days are over but you must have seen some action in your time with the band?”

The Muse frontman replied: “Oh I’ve had fun, a lot of fun. You go to Italy. The women there are incredible.”

Before beginning his romance with Kate last year, Matt was engaged to Italian psychologist Gaia Poloni with the pair splitting in 2009.

Apart from Italian women, Matt also previously claimed he is just as charmed – although not as lucky – with older women too.

He said: “Jane Fonda. She’s 72. I like the older ladies, you see. She was hanging around with Rod Stewart the other day. She seemed like a nice lady. But I failed – I didn’t charm her enough.”

The supermodel was partying with fiance Jamie Hince and a group of friends at London’s 02 Brixton Academy for the star-studded event, when she suddenly began feeling ill.

“Halfway through, she was feeling faint. The place was jumping and she had to get Jamie to help her to the first aid room.”

After St John Ambulance volunteers assisted her backstage, Jamie took Kate back home before setting off without her to carry on his night out.

The source added: “Afterwards he took her home in a taxi and then went out to carry on the party at a London Fashion Week bash.”

Earlier this month, Kate – who is due to marry Jamie on July 2 – fainted during a drunken day out with friends.

The blonde beauty visited a London sex shop and after buying seven sex toys and sniffing some poppers she passed out in the x-rated store.

Film producer David let slip in a recent interview that the couple are lining up the eccentric singer to play an important role in the life of their two-month-old son, who was born on Christmas Day (25.12.10) via a surrogate mother.

In a statement, Warner Bros. Television and broadcaster CBS said: “Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production on ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season.”

Charlie also blasted his ‘Two and a Half Men’ bosses for being critical of his recent erratic behaviour, which in recent months has seen him indulge in alcohol and drugs binges with porn stars.

Speaking about his CBS bosses, he said: “I was told if I went on the attack, they would cancel the show. Are they happy with the $5 billion they made off me?” It’s a frickin’ juggernaut.”

When musing on the possibility of the comedy series continuing without him, he said: “Watch your ratings, dudes. Watch your stupid ratings.”

Charlie is believed to currently be living at his Los Angeles house with his estranged wife Brooke Mueller, porn star Bree Olson is also living there, along with Natalie Kenly, a 24-year-old graphic designer and part-time model.

The British TV star – who split from the cage fighter in January and is in the process of divorcing him – admits she and Alex still occasionally go to bed together and can handle it because they are adults.

The Welsh actress – who was awarded the accolade for services to the film industry and to charity – was included in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list last year and travelled to Buckingham Palace to pick up the prestigious honour today (24.02.11).

The troubled star – who completed a court-ordered 90-day rehab stint last month – was warned in court yesterday (23.02.11) she will be sent to prison if she accepts a plea bargain in relation to a felony grand theft charge and pals are concerned she will start taking drugs again over the stress of the case.

A source told website PopEater: “I’m not sure if she can survive this. She is so terrified and frightened that we all fear her addictions will kick in again to help her numb the fear.”

The ‘Mean Girls’ star – whose rehab stint was part of a punishment for breaching the terms of probation that were set following a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction – is accused of stealing a necklace worth $2,500 from upmarket Californian boutique Kamofie & Company.

Though Lindsay has repeatedly denied the allegation – insisting the item was loaned to her in exchange for publicity – she has been offered a plea bargain deal, in which she is believed to be expected to serve just eight months in jail in exchange for pleading guilty.

The 24-year-old actress must decide whether to accept the deal or plead not guilty and take the case to trial by the time of her next hearing, which has been set for March 10.

Lindsay – who is free on $40,000 bail – was also warned by Judge Schwartz if she pleads guilty or no contest to the charge then he could rule that she is in violation of her earlier DUI order.

Lindsay’s parents Dina and Michael – who also have children Michael Jr, 23, Ali,17, and 14-year-old Cody – supported their daughter at her hearing yesterday, despite a restraining order in place banning the showbiz patriarch from going near his ex-wife.

The 27-year-old beauty – who hails from Newcastle, North East England – is set for a judging role on the new show but has been ordered by US network Fox to soften her strong regional accent and drop certain phrases that Stateside audiences won’t understand.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “If audiences and contestants can’t understand her it is actually a regulatory offence.

“Cheryl will be told not to use the word ‘babe’ to describe a pretty girl. Other key words she’s being taught include saying ‘pants’ and not ‘trousers’, ‘butt’ not ‘bum’ and ‘cookies’ not ‘biscuits’.

“They also want to clamp down on her saying ‘pet’ which literally means ‘animal’ in the States.”

The ‘Rehab’ singer – who has previously battled drug addiction – has vowed to get in shape before going back on stage and has installed a studio and fitness equipment into her new home.

The insider added to The Sun newspaper: “When she moved in she swore she was going to change her lifestyle – that’s part of the reason she had her own gym and studio installed.

“She wants to be fit and look good ready for her comeback at the end of the year.”

Ballet isn’t the only pastime Amy has been seeking professional guidance in.

Last year, it was revealed the troubled singer had taken up golf in a bid to keep herself away from the London party scene.

A source said at the time: “She played nine holes and loved it, she had a natural swing. Amy wants to learn how to play properly now.”

Muse were named Best British band, while Arcade Fire took home Best Album for ‘The Suburbs’ at the event, held at London’s Brixton Academy.

My Chemical Romance – who opened the show with a rendition of ‘Na Na Na’ – were greeted by fans who had camped out overnight in the hope of meeting them.

After accepting their two trophies, frontman Gerard Way said: “When the fans vote on something it’s amazing. Their dedication is just incredible.

“A night like this you really want to try and meet them, we met a bunch before we got in the building which made us happy. We actually went to the red carpet early to do that.”

Scottish act Biffy Clyro flew in from the US, where they are presently touring, to collect Best Live Act.

Drummer Ben Johnston said: “Live is really such a big part of what we do. To be in a category with Muse and Arcade Fire – who are, in my opinion two of the best live bands in the world – and to come out on top over them is just f***ing mindblowing. We are dumbfounded.”

Indie group Foals picked up Best Track for song ‘Spanish Sahara’, while Hurts were named Best New Band.

Performances on the night included PJ Harvey, who won the Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution To Music prize, and Foo Fighters, who closed the show and who saw lead singer, Dave Grohl, given the annual Godlike Genius accolade.

Dave said: “My bandmates love it, they’ve been ribbing me ever since I found I was getting this.

“They’ve given me so much s**t about this award that I wish it was called something else, like ‘Oldest Guy At The Award Ceremony’ award.”
